Why does your voice excite me? |
| 02/02/2008 |
A study performed by the University of Tuebingen, Germany proposes that in matters of eroticism, men and women are not quite so different. In fact, both sexes show a more intense cerebral response to voices of the opposite sex... that is, when the voice is sexy and suggestive. Jaume Balagueró and Ángel Sala with "The Social Brain" chair in Sitges |
| 8/10/2007 |
The workshop THE TWO FACES OF FEAR received visits from Àngel Sala, director of the Festival de Sitges, and from the film director Jaume Balagueró. During his intervention, Àngel Sala reminded us that the horror genre has been able to transform fears from each era into disturbing narrative plots. This edition of the festival, according to Sala, brings together numerous films that capture a new fear of the loss of privacy, by an omnipresent presence or third eye, the camera, which converts the spectator into a complice and voyeur of the worst nightmares imaginable. In fact, this is the leitmotiv of one of the most anticipated movies of the Festival, REC, the latest from Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza. Jaume Balagueró shared the motives which drove him to film a movie of such characteristics with the attendants.
