The “El Cervell Social”, in collaboration with the Barcelona ZOO and the Consorci d’Educació, is organising the second edition of the “Professor Jordi Sabater Pi” Awards. This project is directed by the very students who are invited to explore human social behaviour from an evolutionary perspective.
Contest rules:
The aim of this award is to promote a debate stemming from primatology and the theory of evolution to tackle the reasons behind the most deeply rooted problems and virtues in our society. For this reason, we have invited teenage students to develop social theories which explain social patterns based on such disciplines. For example, what parallelisms can we trace between the chimpanzee community and that of humans? The hypothesis raised must be argued and justified with an audiovisual piece a maximum of 10 minutes long.
